It seems like Halloween is the time of year when I purchase human hair extensions for a costume, haha (last year was blonde ones and this time around, brown). With that said, my natural hair color is dark brown, long, and I had planned to be Pocahontas, but the texture of my own hair is very fine and so I wanted to just add some thickness and layer-y length to it in order to portray the costume better. First off, the color is an exact match! It has a slight red tint to it, but so does my own natural hair in the sun, and so this medium brown blended in perfectly.
If your hair has no natural highlights, then maybe you’d want to get the dark brown ones instead. Yes, these hair extensions uk are thin, but I think that’s the purpose of this type of extension…especially the price (although I see it has increased quite a bit since I bought mine…). They’re just to add more bulk to your own hair, not to particularly change your hair from short to long. If your hair is already long, then these will blend in a bit to add length without looking stringy.
I forget how many “clefts” come in this set, but I didn’t use two of them because there was no more room on my head to attach them haha. I will say, I have never learned how to put extensions in properly and I just basically section off my hair from underneath and clip in hair extensions into two layers and then clip the smaller pieces to the front-lower side (underneath my own top layer of hair). Afterward, I liked it so much, that I kind of considered using these for special occasions and not just Halloween/costumes, especially for the added length.
It looks VERY natural, they’re very comfortable (they attach like little barettes), the texture of the hair is soft, and I didn’t notice any weird smells. I don’t plan to wash these or use heat styling products on them, so I can’t vouch if they’re 100% real or if there’s any synthetic materials mixed in.
